13 Oct ABSTRACT WALLCOVERINGS FOR CONTEMPORARY INTERIORS
- The stylised tartan pattern of ‘Traverse’ packs a punch with its indigo colouring. Part of a collection designed by Rachel and Nicholas Cope of New York brand Calico Wallpaper for Knoll Textiles, it’s available from StudioTex
- Kirkby Design’s first foray into wallcoverings includes this ‘Reclaim’ wall mural, available from Romo. Inspired by the brand’s hand-stitched denim fabric of the same name, it’s been translated into a soft hand-painted design, digitally printed on to linen
- ‘Outside the Box’ is an ode to colour field painting by its designers, Porter Teleo. Available as a 3x3m mural in three sections, this digitally printed wallcovering is by Asteré at Abbott + Boyd
- An abstracted vision of a wintry Scandinavian landscape of mountains and fjords, Lelièvre Paris’ ‘Paysage’ wallcovering is printed on a textured vinyl to resemble a woven fabric
- ‘Taidai’ by Phillip Jeffries is inspired by traditional artisan dying skills, rendered here in a watercolour collage of softly merging shapes, hand-laid in an abstract pattern
- US fabric brand Brentano has launched its first wallcoverings collection, which includes this ‘Andromeda’ design that hints at geological forms. It’s available from Altfield
