Vispring has opened only its second-ever standalone showroom, at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. The space features five bestselling bed designs (out of a total of 15 on the market) and is a jumping-off point to discover more about the brand, which has a formidable history: founded in 1901, it pioneered the use of pocket springs in mattresses, while its ethos of using top-quality natural fibres lives on today.
Every mattress is made to order, with tailored levels of support, and different internal materials for optimum comfort. Dual tension options are available, so that two sleeping partners can each achieve the best possible night’s sleep. Natural materials create a breathable product, and the showroom has baskets of the raw materials on display, including wool, cotton and silk, so you can feel them for yourself.
Explore a wide variety of fabric samples for upholstering Vispring’s headboards, divans, mattresses and toppers, from cotton and linen to velvets, suedes and leathers. Don’t forget to check out the display as you walk in to the showroom, which shows an ‘exploded’ mattress and divan, sliced down the middle to reveal its contents – it will give you a new appreciation of the work and craftsmanship that goes into each and every one.
