ART & INTERIORS 2017
Wednesday 4 October, 9.30am–3pm. Design Club, Third Floor, South Dome
Join House & Garden at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour for a day devoted to the role of art in interiors. Interior designer Veere Grenney starts off the morning session. At the forefront of the international interior design industry for nearly 20 years, Veere is a master of contrasts, marrying the humble with the grand and clean modernity with classicism, using art as a key element of his inspiration. House & Garden arts editor Emily Tobin will then host a panel discussion with fine art expert Frances Christie, who is the head of modern and post-war British art at Sotheby’s, and Francis Sultana, who set up his eponymous studio in 2009 and creates interiors for art collectors worldwide. Francis is also a major collector and CEO of David Gill Gallery. They will discuss selecting, valuing and buying art. Following a lunch break, House & Garden decoration director Gabby Deeming will discuss styling, lighting, grouping and displaying art with renowned design duo Eleanora Cunietti and Audrey Carden of Carden Cunietti. There will be time to visit 120 showrooms at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to peruse the best in international design and discover the latest on style’s radar.
